Guide to Baptism
Baptisms take place within the Sunday celebration of the Holy Eucharist, with the whole congregation taking part. The primary time for baptism is during the Easter services (older youth and adults at the Easter Eve Vigil, infants and younger children at the Easter Day Eucharist). Baptisms are also normally celebrated on or near the Feast of the Baptism of Jesus (early January), the Feast of Pentecost (late April to early June), and the Feast of All Saints (near November 1).
Other times can be arranged for reasons of family necessity.
Please arrange well ahead of time to fill out the baptismal information form and arrange a first meeting of the parent(s) with the priest and a second meeting of the family, the sponsors, and the priest on the morning of or the day before the baptism.
